Long title
To amend the Usury Act, 1968, so as to make provision for the
assignment of certain functions and powers to a competent authority
within the jurisdiction of the government of a province; and to provide
for matters connected therewith.

1. Insertion of section
12A in Act 73 of 1968
The following section is hereby inserted in the Usury Act, 1968, after
section 12:
"Assignment of functions and powers by Minister
[ 12A. The Minister may by notice in the Gazette assign any function
assigned to and any power conferred upon the Registrar by or under this
Act to a competent authority within the jurisdiction of the government
of a province. ] ".

2. Short title
This Act shall be called the Usury Amendment Act, 1995.
