Long title To amend the Non-Proliferation of Weapons of Mass Destruction Act, 1993, so as to make provision for the representation of the Department of Trade and Industry in the South African Council for Non-Proliferation of Weapons of Mass Destruction; and to render punishable any contravention of, or any failure to comply with, the provisions of a certain notice or the conditions of a certain permit; and to make provision for matters connected therewith. ____________ [Act 1996_059_000 Long title unamended wef ... date/s available on subscrition copy] 1. Amendment of section 4 of Act 57 of 1993, as amended by section 1 of Act 50 of 1995 Section 4 of the Non-Proliferation of Weapons of Mass Destruction Act,1993 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act), is hereby amended by the substitution for paragraph (b) of subsection (2) of the following paragraph: "(b)
an officer of the Department of Foreign Affairs, designated by the
Minister of Foreign Affairs, [ and an officer
of the Department, designated by the Minister; ]
".

13(2) or (9), or the conditions of a permit referred to in section
13(2), read with section 13(4), or the provisions of section13(3) or
15(1) ] ;".
