Mining Rights Amendment Act, No. 12 of 1991
To amend the Mining Rights Act, 1967, so as to delete certain obsolete definitions; to delete certain restrictive measures in relation to the issuing of prospecting permits, the issuing of claim licences and the transfer of claims; to repeal the provisions in relation to the notice to be given to the Minister of Mineral and Energy Affairs and Public Enterprises of intention to discharge mine employees or discontinue or curtail mining operations; to repeal the restriction on residence of coloured persons and Blacks on certain proclaimed land; and to vest the powers of the State President in relation to the reservation of certain land for township purposes and matters connected therewith, in the Minister; and to provide for matters connected therewith.
