FAQ

STEP 1. DECIDE WHICH SUBJECT CATEGORY OF LEGISLATION IS  MOST RELEVANT

DEMO: Your first step in deciding whether your company is in transgression of legislation, is to obtain a list of subject categories of legislation, and then select the subject category that seems most relevant.

Our hypothetical scenario is that you wish to find out if your company, as an owner of land that a previous owner polluted, is in transgression of legislation for not cleaning up the pollutants on that land.

Take the above first step by going through our list of subject categories below, to see if you can decide which one would be of particular interest to your company as that hypothetical land owner. Usually you will find it quite easy to do this.  (If more than one category seems relevant, remember that you could repeat the steps in this guide in relation to more than one subject category)

For the purpose of progressing through this User Guide, we have selected the subject category “Environment” as the most appropriate.  (Note that other categories may contain legislation that is environmentally related, which may be relevant to our sample set of facts).

Therefore please scroll down to the subject category “Environment”, and click on it to go to the STEP2 of this guide.
