To amend the Companies Act, 1973, so as to provide for a company to acquire its own shares; to provide for the disclosure of a beneficial interest in securities; to provide for the mandatory appointment of a secretary for a public company; to further provide for the disclosure of directors’ emoluments, pension and details in respect of their service contracts; and to provide for certain penalties; and to provide for matters connected therewith.
