Long title To amend the Special Pensions Act, 1996, so as to provide for the lapsing of provisions regarding rights to pensions and survivor’s benefits on 31 December 2006; to introduce a surviving spouse’s pension, an orphan’s pension, and a funeral benefit; to regulate benefit payments to spouses and dependants; to provide for the reconsideration of determined cases by the Board; to provide for the repayment of any benefit paid to a person that was not entitled to that benefit; to further regulate the dissolution of the Board and the Review Board; to amend Schedule 3 to the Act; to add Schedule 4 to the Act; and to provide for matters connected therewith.
