Gauteng: Consumer Affairs (Unfair
Business Practices) Act, No. 7 of 1996
Long title
To provide for the investigation, prohibition and control of unfair business practices in the interest of the protection of consumers, and for that purpose to establish an Office for the Investigation of Unfair Business Practices and a Consumer Affairs Court; to amend the Local Government Ordinance, 1939, so as to authorise local authorities to establish consumer advice offices; and to provide for matters connected therewith.
