To provide for a single set of procedures and regulations to complement the accelerated development procedures as provided for in the Development Facilitation Act, 1995; and to thereby ensure effective and co-operative planning and land development within the provincial and local spheres of government of the Province of the Northern Cape, through a set of principles which will guide the preparation and implementation of integrated land development plans, the management of rural and urban land and its development through land-use management mechanisms, subdivisions and matters incidental thereto.
